Congratulations Sarah Hillman!
During the Evensong service on Thursday 9 October, seven new canons were installed into the College of Canons at Salisbury Cathedral, by invitation of the Right Reverend Stephen Lake, Bishop of Salisbury.
This included five non-residentiary canons and two lay canons from the wider Cathedral community.
The College of Canons is part of the Cathedral’s extended family and meets twice a year to provide feedback on policy decisions made by Chapter, the Cathedral’s governing body, and on Cathedral activities.
The Revd Sarah Hillman takes the Dorchester stall. She has been incumbent of the Puddletown benefice in Dorset since 2011 and is Rural Dean of Dorchester.
Following gaining a theology degree, Sarah worked in teaching, for churches and at the Church Times newspaper, before being ordained in 2003.
